Commercial Operations
In addition to our conservation and regeneration activities, Vichada provides a unique opportunity to turn unproductive degraded land, stricken by continuous wildfires, into productive planted forests. This region has excellent growing conditions for fast-growth tree species if we intervene to improve soil quality. In doing so, we provide skilled employment opportunities in the region where there is very little economic opportunity. Our planted forests are helping rehabilitate the soils, protect biodiversity, reduce erosion and improve water quality. All while achieving commercial high yield, fast growth sustainable wood fiber at a low-cost of production.
Cómo operamos
FFC is an FSC® certified (FSC®-C167272), sustainable forest company. We are a producer of high-quality carbon credits which are sold in the international markets, wood fibre for bioenergy, and wood products which are sold domestically. Our products will displace concrete and steel from many uses, and also reduce the dependancy on international imports, which have high economic and environmental costs.
Our operations are in the Vichada region of Colombia. To date we have planted 16,000 ha of trees on our 40,000 ha of titled land.
Cultivo + Siembra
FFC uses several processes to start trees in our commercial areas : both from seed and through cloning. In collaboration with our technical strategic partner, SAPPI, we have developed our genetics to include high quality seed, hybrids and clones ideally suited to optimize growth in the Vichada region.

Tenemos acceso al mercado nacional mediante el transporte de bajo costo en barcazas por el río Meta hasta Puerto Guadalupe, desde donde podemos acceder en camión a la red nacional de carreteras pavimentadas.
Nuestros productos
Our certified planted areas allow us to generate carbon removal credits that are certified by Verra under the VCS and CCB standards. These credits are solid in the voluntary carbon markets.
We produce and sell wood fiber to fuel bioenergy electrical plants.
We intend to expand our processed wood line to encompass several types of lumber and structural items, both treated and untreated.
